Our acorn-fed Iberian shoulder ham comes from 50% Iberian breed pigs rised in freedom in holm oak pastures and fed on acorns during the ‘montanera’ season, grass and other fruits of the ground.


The 'montanera' is the period between October and March approximately, on which the ripening of the acorn and the final phase of the Iberian pig's rearing take place. During this period, the animal puts on a lot of weight and that is why, once this phase is over, it is slaughtered.


In our ham factory in Salamanca, we carry out the complete process of manufacturing and selling acorn-fed Iberian shoulder hams, with approximately 24 months in natural drying rooms. This curing process is always being controlled throughout this time.

Este producto es simplemente maravilloso. Toda mi familia siempre hemos comprado el jamón en Benito Pérez, y ahora, con esto de la pandemia, lo pedimos desde madrid, tarda nada en llegar, y encima de vez en cuando hacen unas ofertas que no se pueden dejar escapar. Siempre pido el de cebo de campo, que también es maravilloso, pero ahora probamos este. Lo dicho, magnífica atención, y un sabor que siempre recuerdo, desde hace muchos años. Gracias!
